When you connect an Alpaca Live account and enable live mode in Settings, every order Addition submits places a real-money trade in your brokerage account. Market, limit, and stop orders can execute instantly in volatile conditions. You alone are responsible for every trade placed under your account — including trades triggered by alerts, portfolio-advisor suggestions, or any automation you enable. Default to Paper mode until you fully understand the behaviour of every feature.
US margin accounts under $25,000 equity are subject to the Pattern Day Trader rule. If you execute four or more day-trades in five business days, your broker may restrict your account for up to 90 days. Addition does not monitor your day-trade count. Check with Alpaca before trading.
Market data is provided by third parties (Yahoo Finance / Alpaca) and may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate. Addition makes no warranty of any kind — express or implied — regarding the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any data, score, signal, or AI output on this platform.
Portfolio advisor summaries, news sentiment, and model-picker explanations are generated by large language models and may contain errors or hallucinations. Always verify any claim before acting on it.
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials, 2FA device, and Alpaca API keys confidential. We recommend enabling 2FA. If you believe your account has been compromised, change your password immediately from Settings and disconnect your broker.
